Position Title: Human Resources Director
Location: Madison Parish Hospital and Clinics, Tallulah, Madison Parish, Louisiana
Overview:
Madison Parish Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management within a hospital, healthcare, or professional setting and be committed to fostering a positive work environment that supports our mission to provide high-quality care to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the hospital's goals and objectives.
Talent Acquisition and Retention: Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
Employee Relations: Serve as a liaison between management and employees, addressing workplace issues and promoting a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal systems to ensure employee growth and development.
Compensation and Benefits: Develop and maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Training and Development: Assess and assist in addressing the training needs of staff, providing opportunities for professional growth.
Compliance: Ensure the hospital's HR policies and practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
HR Metrics and Reporting: Provide management with accurate and timely HR metrics and reports to support decision-making. Timely complete required HR reporting.
Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll requirements.
Special Projects and Emergencies: Be available to work after hours on special projects or emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in HR management within a hospital, healthcare, or professional setting is highly preferred. Experience managing at least 125 employees. Experience working in a company or setting with at least 150 team members.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Understanding of benefits and insurance, federal and state labor laws and regulations, and insurance. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in workers' compensation law and all HR-related audits.
