Rural Health Clinics Director
Madison Parish Hospital is seeking a full-time Rural Health Clinic Director who will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Job Purpose:
The Director ensures the clinic delivers high-quality, accessible healthcare services to underserved rural communities while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision to Rural Health Clinic staff by establishing clear performance standards, actively monitoring accuracy and productivity, and delivering ongoing coaching and mentoring to support professional development and optimize team performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Oversee daily clinic operations (staffing, scheduling, workflow).
Ensure efficient patient flow and quality delivery of care.
Manage clinic policies and procedures.
Monitor compliance programs, including HIPAA privacy and security requirements under Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective action plans.
Financial Oversight
Develop and manage Rural Health Clinic budget.
Monitor revenue cycle, billing, and reimbursement (Medicare/Medicaid).
Optimize cost control while maintaining care quality.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with Madison Parish Hospital and RHC regulations and standards.
Maintain readiness for audits and inspections.
Implement policies aligned with CMS and the Louisiana State Department of Health.
Clinical Leadership Support
Collaborate with hospital and clinic providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff).
Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Monitor clinical performance metrics.
Community Engagement
Build relationships with local organizations and stakeholders.
Promote clinic services within the rural community.
Address local public health needs.
Strategic Planning
Identify opportunities for service expansion.
Develop long-term growth strategies.
Implement innovative programs (telehealth, outreach, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
3–5+ years of healthcare management experience (rural or outpatient setting preferred).
Knowledge of RHC regulations and reimbursement systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MPH)
Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
Familiarity with rural health challenges and population health.
Certifications:
CPR
BLS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
