Emergency Department Registered Nurse (7pm- 7am)
Madison Parish Hospital is currently accepting applications for one (1) full-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Supervised by: ED Nurse Supervisor
Shift: 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychological, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychological needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic physician regarding changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare personnel. Proficiency in nursing skills and EHR charting and documentation.
Education and Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department/ICU or Acute Care Setting experience required.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
Maintain a current, unencumbered license from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing required.
ACLS/BLS/PALS certification required.
Proficient in computer applications required.
